What will you do?

Oh what will you do when our Lord returns
if you've turned a deaf ear to His word

oh what can you say to the Son of God
can you say friend that you've never heard?



Can you say you've not known that we've all gone astray

in our sins it's as if we were dead

that the curse brought on Adam for turning away

we've inherited just as God said?

Even now God still loves us saying 'Turn and repent'
from all things that you know are sin
For the time now is short and the door soon will close
on this world........... so make sure that you're in

'For as in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive'
                                                           1 Corinthians ch. 15 v.22

He is risen

'Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!'  John ch. 1 v.29

 'You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.'   Colossians ch.2 vs13,14

 

 I look around the world and see
whole nations in distress
growing camps of refugees
full of hopelessness
I used to think that this was fate 
the way we all must die
because the world was full of hate
but this was Satan's lie
The words 'Forgive them Father
for they know not what they do'
came to my ears when I was lost
and you can hear them too
Just turn your eyes to Jesus
who hung there on that tree
He took the shame and torture
to save both you and me

'For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.                   John ch. 3 v.17



'For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 
                                                                                          1 Corinthians ch.15 v.22

 

   

 

'And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

I know this is so

I know of a comforter

I know of a comforter, One who will care
a bearer of burdens - who's able to share
the sorrows and woes of a lonely life
of emptiness, worry, fear and strife

'And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive ........

I know of a healer, One who will send
a blessing of power - your life to mend
with greater authority than mere man
not only a king, but 'a King who can'

'But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings ......
                                                                                                                      Malachi ch. 4 v.2


I know of a Saviour, One who will bless
everyone who believes with tenderness
to replace darkest night with light of day
a Saviour who turns not one soul away

'Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God ......
                                                                                                                             1 John ch.5 v.5


I know of a warrior, fearless and calm
under His protection you'll come to no harm
and the reason I know that these things are so?
He came into my life a long time ago

'Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!  He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.'                                                                                                            Revelation ch.19 v.11

What's happening to humanity? 

The world has lost it's sanity,

Harvest time

...... Men's hearts failing them for fear, and looking after those things which are coming on the Earth:            Luke ch.21 v.26

Oh gentle giant, spinning orb
what lies ahead for thee
what madness of man's intellect
is forming ...... soon to be
Is blindness now the quality
one has to have to rule
and has responsibility
passed over to the fool

Oh globe of beauty, work of God
what happened ..... what went wrong?
what caused the soil to putrefy
what stilled the blackbird's song?
Somewhere there lies a sickness
a deadly, seething sore
that's spreading over all the Earth
destroying ...... more and more

Oh treasure in darkness
what is sown you now reap
as your pine beard is shaved from your face
In repentance and sorrow
will your rivers weep
as you hurl to your fate in disgrace

'And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed'.  2 Peter ch.3 v.7


Royal Wedding

There's a Royal wedding approaching
and I'm getting very excited
the guest list is never ending
for the whole of mankind is invited

With this marriage you'll share an inheritance
not of silver and gold from this Earth
It's God's wisdom and knowledge and peace of mind
you'll inherit along with new birth

God has things in store unimaginable
of which you will never have heard
when you drink of His Holy Spirit
as you're washed by His pure Holy Word

So take up this invitation
Be God's guest at His Son's wedding feast
and you'll share in the Father's promise
of a future where death will have ceased

'Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying 'The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.  He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.....'  Matt. ch.22 v.1-3

Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come.  Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.'  So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.   Matt. ch.22 vs. 8-10


GOD IS CALLING

God is calling, God is calling, God is calling everyone
to the wedding, to the wedding, to the wedding of His Son
you're all invited to the feast to be God's honoured guest
yes God is calling everyone into His holy rest

The Lord's returning, He's returning, coming in His Father's power
no one knows when He's arriving, it could be this very hour
He's coming for His church on Earth, He's coming for His bride
the door is closing to the world - make sure that you're inside

God is saying, God is saying, God is saying to everyone
'Come into my place of safety - purchased by my precious Son
Come drink my wine of holiness, come eat my bread of grace
The Spirit and the bride say come.... step in and take your place

Then the angel said to me 'Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb', and he added 'These are the true words of God'.

My name is Jesus

My name is Jesus

My name is Jesus I came to Earth
to tell mankind of second birth
to tell of grace abounding free
to all who put their trust in me

My name is Jesus I came to save
to lift the weary from death's grave
to grant forgiveness for their sin
to all who would but let me in

My name is Jesus I come with love
the kind that comes from God above
a love eternal .... tested, tried
for I am the One they crucified

My name is Jesus I come with power
to save you in this final hour
I bring salvation .... don't refuse
It's life or death - which will you choose?

Ask and it shall be given

Where are you Lord - where are You Jesus
where are You Lord ? ...... hear my cry

I'm right here beside you - my name is Jesus
I'm right here beside you ...... I hear you cry

Then why have You not helped me - helped me in my struggle
why have You not helped me ...... why oh why?

When did you ask me to help you in your struggle
when did you ask me - when did you cry?

Lord I have not asked You to help me in my struggle
Lord I have not asked You ...... I don't know why 

Then ask and it shall be given
seek and you will find Me
knock and the door will open
to you child

No other name under Heaven

No other name under Heaven has authority to save
no other name but Jesus can lift you from the grave
Not another name under Heaven can bring peace in times of strife
there is no other name but Jesus that can give eternal life
So hear .... the Master calls you, the time is very short
turn away now from all wickedness - your freedom has been bought
God heard Jesus plea for us - up from the grave He rose
The door to life is open ....... but soon it's going to close

Have you heard?

Get into the boat child

Sometimes it is as if I am swimming in deep water, exhausted, whilst my Father is rowing a boat alongside me saying, 'Get into the boat child, let me take you to your destination.'

 

 

Have you heard about God's Son who gave His life for everyone

who suffered there at Calvary that you and I might be set free?

Belief in Him will bring release from all that robs you of your peace

So just reach out and take His hand, don't build your house upon the sand

the door will open if you knock .... then you can build upon the ROCK

 

 



'Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will gve you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'

The sinner's prayer 

 

You didn't come for the righteous - for the sheep as white as snow

the ones that are whole and healthy - who know which way to go

No Lord You came for the sinner - the sheep that went astray

You came to guide him back to God along the narrow way

 

 

Lord here stands a sinner, a lonely child of the night

I walk the paths of darkness where there is no guiding light

my feet are bruised and bleeding as I stumble down life's track

the brambles cut across my flesh....  there's no coat upon my back

My hands are torn and calloused as they push aside each thorn

my clothes give no protection, - they are tattered and worn

 

I'm lost in my inheritance of pain and misery

Lord I call upon Your name ..... Jesus save me!

 

 

The Lord's reply
 

'I hear you child ' says Jesus - ' your cry is in my ears

my heart is burning with your pain, my face wet with your tears

these feet have felt your bruises - my hands were torn for you

those thorns were laid upon my head, my stripes were for you too

 

Yes child I hear you calling from your dark and miry grave

'twas for this very reason that God sent me to save

So lift your eyes my lost one, don't look at earthly things

look to the Son of Righteousness - there's healing in my wings

 

Don't bear your heavy burdens and remain among the dead

I came two thousand years ago and bore them in your stead

Just look towards your Saviour, I'll be your guiding light

cast your cares upon your Lord - your God for you will fight

 

and I'll give you a garment, a new coat for your back

You'll wear my robe of righteousness...... to save you from attack.'

 

'For I am come not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.'   Matthew ch.9 v.13



Second chance



A beautiful romance

Listen all you people there's a story to be told
a wondrous tale of beauty talked about in days of old
It speaks about a mystery -  a beautiful romance
how the God of all creation gave this world a second chance

a second chance to walk with God - to become His holy child
to be rescued from our wretchedness and to Him be reconciled
by believing on Jesus, the lamb who was slain
that we might be accepted by the Father again

No more to be in torment, no more to be in shame
when we trust on our Saviour and the power in His name
Yes the Father sent Jesus just to save you and me
He's the bread sent from Heaven - He's the life giving tree

So turn from your hard labour, come out from slavery
for the Son of God released you on that day at Calvary
don't let sin be your master - come shout, sing and dance
for the Lord God of heaven has given us a second chance












...... for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places; all these are the beginning of sorrows.   Matthew ch.24 vx.7,8

......  and the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent; Because He has appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He has ordained; whereof He has give assurance to all men, in that He has raised Him from the dead.   Acts ch.17 vs.30,31

...... when the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory; And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.    Matthew ch.25 vs.31,32


What do you see?

Open your eyes to what's happening my friend
look around you ....... what do you see?
all the things that you read of and watch on tv
are just as God said it would be
Will you listen and enter God's sanctuary
which was purchased by Jesus' shed blood
or will you turn a deaf ear to God's warning
like they did in the days of the flood?


What's that you say Noah? ( in hindsight )

What's that you say Noah
it's going to rain
and God's told you to build a big boat
just look at the size - it will take you all year
and you really believe it will float ?

What's that you say Noah
God's bringing a flood
He's destroying the whole of mankind
It's the way we've been living - it hasn't been good
you'll be saved while we're all left behind ?

What's that you say Noah ?
You're crazy - you're mad
to believe what God tells you is true
for the life that we're living is not really bad
maybe you should try living it too 

What's that you say Noah
God's closing the doors ?
Well .... maybe it was wrong to gloat
and 'though now it's too late
if we'd all changed out ways
maybe we'd all be in the same boat 

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.   Matthew ch.24 vs.38,39

At that time two people will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left behind.  Two women will be grinding with a handmill; one will be taken and the other left.     Matthew ch.24 vs.40,41


Don't be the one left behind!

'The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to repent ' 2 Peter ch.3 v.9 

Which world ?

 

'And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.'                 
John ch.17 v.3


Your world ?

There's this world you might live in - I've lived in it too
full of selfishness, greed and lust
It was formed out of darkness, confusion and fear
by a man that was made from its dust

If you live in  this world - this chaotic abyss
then we'll always be worlds apart
not because we're so different in bodily form
but for what you desire in your heart

My world

Let me live in a world where El Shaddai rules
where the righteous are plenty and there are no fools
Let me live in a world where no darkness can reign
where there's laughter and joy and there is no pain

Live with me in this world where my Jesus is Lord
where there's treasure that rich men can never afford
If you too want this world I can show you the door
He's called Jesus ....the Saviour of this world's poor



'even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;'  Romans ch.3 v.22

'The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God."'  Psalm ch.14 v1


'But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it,  the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.  For there is no distinction; since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.whom God put forward as an expiation by His blood, to be received by faith.  This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins; it was to prove at the present time that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies him who has faith in Jesus.'
